The Flower Project is based in Brisbane. It is a community kindness project based on a love of flowers and sharing them with local women who are experiencing difficulties, isolation, health issues or who are in caring or foster parent roles. The Flower Project also aims to recognise the special contribution of those who volunteer much of their time to others and who work in the caring professions.
So far The Flower Project has brightened the day for over 600 local women in the few months that we have been operating. We have brightened the day for women in aged care facilities, meals on wheels recipients, volunteers, foster carers, Carer support groups, women's shelter, families caring for very ill children or family members, special teachers and volunteers. You can nominate a recipient on our facebook page or via our website.
The Flower Project is entirely volunteer run. We rely on our very special flower project supporters to fund flowers and transport costs. Visit our webpage to see the difference that the project is making and how you can help spread kindness.
We have an extensive volunteer program and offer workshops for supporters to help share a love of flowers and to raise funds for our recipient bouquets. We also love to connect with anyone who loves flowers and making the community a better place.
